Administrative Operating Plan
The Kenora Catholic District School Board's Administrative Operating Plan is based on priorities identified by our Executive Council Team and Board of Trustees. Our board will use this plan throughout the next three years as a tool to evaluate our performance in meeting our goals. Our Executive Council Team reviews progress on a monthly basis and our plan is updated often. Operational Review Report
As part of its plan to promote a strong, vibrant, publicly funded education system, the Ministry of Education is conducting Operational Reviews on school boards across the province. The goal is to enhance management capacity within school boards by encouraging good stewardship of public resources and by the leveraging and sharing of best practices. By adopting these practices, school boards ensure they are aligning to support the government's highest priortiy: student achievement.
The Operational Review Team conducted a review of the Kenora Catholic District School Board in May 2010 and looked at four functional areas: Governance and School Board Administration; Human Resource Management and School Staffing/Allocation; Financial Management; and School Operations and Facility Management. The review highlighted best practices and also made recommendations on opportunities for improvement.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board is pleased to share that our Board was found to be a well-managed board by the Operational Review Team. As a Board, we are committed to seeking opportunties for continual improvement and take our mission of being a school system dedicated to excellence in education, the Christian formation of youth and strong partnerships with parents, families and the Church very seriously.
