Teachers’ Gateway to Special Education

Please note that there is a new special education resource for teachers and school support personnel launched recently by the OTF, with funding from the Ministry.

The new website provides specific strategies and resources to help teachers address the unique needs of students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Well organized and extremely user friendly, the Teachers’ Gateway to Special Education includes links to board special education plans, Ministry documents and other helpful resources. The Gateway includes definitions of key special education terms, and can be used as a practical guide for teachers building Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
