The Kenora Catholic District School Board is very proud of the Idea Lab and the projects that are supported through this innovative service approach.
The Idea Lab began in 2013 as a process to take innovative ideas from the KCDSB community and make them a reality by matching the project with resources and support.
The Idea Lab is a team of dedicated stewards that collaborate and strategize to support the ideas that come into the lab. Educators, system staff and students are able to submit an online application to the Idea Lab to request support for their project. If the project meets the criterial of innovative learning, the Idea Lab stewards work with the with the applicants to support the project.
The role of the Idea Lab steward is to work through the details and research of a project so teachers and students can focus on the learning results they want to achieve. The team aligns ideas with expertise to make an idea become a reality in the classroom.
