Kenora Catholic District School Board offers a variety of classroom based programming that are designed to promote the mental health and well-being of students.

Kids in the Know
An interactive program for all grades that builds personal safety skills and helps reduce the risk of victimization both online and offline.

Kimochis
Designed for Kindergarten to Grade 5, Kimochis helps children and parents connect with characters and feelings to improve student behavior and learning.

SNAP for Schools
A universal prevention program for Grades 2–4 that gives teachers evidence-based strategies to promote pro-social learning, emotion regulation, self-control, and problem-solving skills. It also helps staff identify students who may benefit from further mental health supports.

Project 11
Available for all grades, this program supports students and teachers in building mental health awareness and positive coping skills.
Pilot Programs (in partnership with School Mental Health Ontario)

Balanced Device Use – Piloting in Grades 7–8 during the 2025/26 school year, focusing on healthy technology use.

Coping in Action – In its second year of piloting for Grades 5–6, this Tier 1 program strengthens mental health literacy and promotes mental wellness in schools.

PreVenture – Now in its fourth year for all Grade 8 students, this evidence-based program promotes mental health and reduces the risk of substance use.
