What is the Student Achievement Action Plan?
The Ontario Ministry of Education established the Student Achievement Plan under the
Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act, 2023. This plan sets out objectives and benchmarks that every school board in Ontario is required to follow to monitor student achievement, engagement, and well-being.
The plan aligns with the educational priorities of Ontario and serves as a method to communicate data, goals and strategic actions aimed at enhancing student achievement.
How often will this plan be updated?
The plan will be updated annually each spring and published on our website.
Where does the data come from?
The data comes from Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) data from the 2022-2023 to 2023-2024 academic years. The Ministry of Education provided data from the 2021-2022 to 2023-2024 academic years, as reported by schools through the Ontario School Information System (OnSIS). Learning Preparedness and Mental Health Awareness data is not available for 2022-2023.
