Elected on the second day of the conclave, Cardinal Prevost now steps forward to lead the 1.4 billion members of the Roman Catholic Church.
This sacred moment marks a new beginning—one that invites us to deepen our faith, strengthen our connection as a global Church, and embrace the hope of renewal.
We invite our KCDSB community to join us in offering prayers for Pope Leo XIV and for the continued guidance of the Holy Spirit in his papacy.
Prayer for Pope Leo XIV
God of all wisdom and grace,
We give thanks for the blessing of our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.
May his heart be open to Your voice,
his hands ready to serve,
and his words filled with truth, mercy, and peace.
Strengthen him with courage,
surround him with love,
and guide his every step with the light of the Holy Spirit.
As he shepherds the Church in this new chapter,
may we walk beside him in faith,
united as one people,
hopeful, prayerful, and rooted in Your love.
