Last week, the Symphonic Winds and Percussion students from St. Thomas Aquinas High School had the opportunity to travel to Winnipeg for an enriching two-day music experience that combined performance, education, and inspiration.
As part of their trip, students participated in specialized workshops at the University of Manitoba, where they worked closely with a team of renowned clinicians including Jacquie Dawson, Victoria Sparks, Richard Gillis, Monica Huisman, and Johnny Yau. These sessions focused on ensemble and sectional playing, providing students with valuable techniques specific to their instruments and enhancing their overall musicianship.
