(Thursday, February 28th Red Lake, ON) - Families in Red Lake now have additional opportunities for quality, licensed child care with the reopening of St. John's Early Learning Child Care Centre. The Municipality of Red Lake and the Kenora Catholic District School Board are pleased to announce that the St. John's Early Learning Child Care Center is officially open. The Child Care Centre reopened on February 4th at its location at St. John School and already has eight children in the space.
"We are excited to expand our partnership with the KCDSB here in Red Lake by providing additional Child Care opportunities for our families," says Mark Vermette, Chief Administrative Officer, Municipality of Red Lake.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board is pleased to partner with the Municipality of Red Lake to provide safe, quality child care options that support families and children as they transition into school.
"Early learning child care environments enrich children's lives and help give them a great start for school," says Derek Haime, Director of Education for Kenora Catholic. "The St. John's Early Learning Child Care Centre allows us to work together to serve more families and to get a head start in building the close relationships we develop with children, families and the larger community within each of our schools."
Kenora Catholic and the Municipality also offer a Before-and After-School Program at St. John School.
