Announcing Principal of St. Isidore Virtual SchoolJamey Robertson at Pope John Paul II SchoolThe Kenora Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce that effective October 1, 2020, Jamey Robertson will assume the role of Principal of Kenora Catholic’s new St. Isidore Virtual School.

“I am excited about the tremendous potential of St. Isidore’s Administrative Team,” says Derek Haime, Director of Education. “Jamey is an accomplished administrator especially with respect to instructional technology and global competencies. He is also deeply committed to using data to inform decision-making and is always evidence informed. His skill-set will round out the team nicely.”

Jamey Robertson is joining the Administrative Team with Jared Ralko and Mark Richards. Jared Ralko is the 0.5 elementary Vice Principal and Mark Richards will be the 0.5 Secondary Vice Principal.

“It truly is a privilege to be joining such a progressive and passionate team at St. Isidore Virtual School,” says Jamey Robertson. “I am excited to begin this next chapter of learning with the Kenora Catholic District School Board and contribute to shaping this vibrant and dynamic new school community. As we unite individuals from across our school system, we will collectively be creating new learning experiences that exist in multi-platform environments. Those experiences become rich opportunities to broaden our learning landscape.”

St. Isidore Virtual School currently has 127 elementary students and 62 secondary students enrolled in the school as of the date of this Key Communication. With approximately 189 students spread across the system and throughout the grades, the new Virtual School is being treated as a separate school, structured similarly to a regular school with dedicated administrators, educators and unique school identity.
