The Province has released a new Learn at Home platform for students across Ontario

The Province of Ontario launched a new online portal to provide resources for families so students can continue their education while schools are closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The online resource is in line with the Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.

The Ministry of Education’s Learn at Home website is now live.

Easter Activity Hunt
Cut out some egg shaped pieces of paper and write an activity on each one. Invite someone to have a turn hiding the eggs around the house. Once the eggs are found, put them in a bowl and pull out one at a time and do the activity. Done the activities? Invite your children to add new or modified activities then hide the eggs again.

Some ideas: read a story about rabbits, make collections of eggs (for example, eggs with shapes on them, eggs with words on them, eggs of different colours) , gather string, hair, and bits of paper and fabric and hang in a tree to help the birds make nests, count how many trees or birds you can see on your block, draw a map of the neighborhood leading people to your favorite spots or for the Easter Bunny to find your house, create sidewalk chalk pictures of Easter.
