Summer Learning Camps

Summer Learning Program

The Kenora Catholic District School Board's Summer Learning Program provides students entering Grades 1 to 5 with an engaging opportunity to strengthen their literacy and numeracy skills while enjoying meaningful summer learning experiences.

Each summer, the program combines reading, writing and mathematics with hands-on, experiential learning designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and support student success. Through engaging activities, students make connections between classroom learning and the world around them in a fun, supportive environment.

Learning extends well beyond the classroom, creating a camp-like atmosphere where students are encouraged to explore, discover and learn through experience. Each day includes a variety of hands-on activities, outdoor learning experiences, team challenges and interactive opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity and collaboration. By taking learning outside and making it active, students build confidence, strengthen friendships and develop a love of learning that lasts beyond the summer.

The Summer Learning Program is typically offered over three weeks during the month of July. Families of eligible students are invited to register during the school year for a fun and engaging summer learning experience that helps children continue building their skills, confidence and friendships during summer break.
